Starting in TV as a News Photojournalist, Blaine Howerton has won multiple local and national awards for his shooting and tv programming concepts. Within that time, he won 4 nationally recognized Telly’s and 7 awards from the Colorado Broadcaster’s Association.
Howerton created Yellow Gal High Definition (YGHD) in 2009 along with his wife (a former TV News Reporter). In 2010, he pursued the company full-time. Dig In was formed as a subsidiary of YGHD in 2010, and is one of several shows being developed by YGHD.
Sarah Beatty is the producer behind Dig In. She’s got a greenish thumb and a love of bringing the garden’s bounty inside and cooking up something fabulous. Sarah’s been producing for television and video for more than 13 years. She’s also the owner and producer behind HiJinx Productions.

Starting with a love for film, Nick pursued film school and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Writing and Directing for film from the Colorado Film School. After graduation, he decided that entering the film industry was too much sacrifice for his family. That is when Nick got a job in broadcasting.
From that point on, he began work on numerous award winning television shows as an editor and realized that broadcast was just as good a medium as film for telling compelling stories.
In 2009, Nick co-founded Yellow Gal High Definition (YGHD) with Blaine and Whei Howerton. In 2010, he pursued the company full-time. Dig In was formed as a subsidiary of YGHD in 2010, and is one of several shows being developed by YGHD.
Nick has won many awards for his work but would say that his greatest achievement is his family. He is blessed to have a wonderful wife and an amazing 1 year old daughter.
